Safety & disclaimer
Ordino is a planning tool for volunteer youth basketball coaches. It is not medical advice, not a substitute for certified coaching training, and not a replacement for your league's own safety rules — always follow those first.
An adult must supervise every practice from start to finish. Before you start, walk the space and clear away anything that could cause a fall or a collision — wet floors, loose equipment, or anything near the baseline a player could run into.
Stop any drill right away at the first sign of injury. Watch for possible signs of a concussion and know your league's return-to-play rules; the CDC's HEADS UP program (cdc.gov/heads-up) is a good place to start. Keep water within reach and build in breaks, especially in a hot gym.
For the take-home activities on the Parent Companion, families often play outside — pick a spot away from traffic and anywhere cars can reach, stop and go inside at the first thunder or lightning (wait at least 30 minutes after the last thunder), and in strong heat or sun add extra water breaks and move to shade.
Everything Ordino generates and saves — practices, season history, your settings — stays on this device. Nothing about your team is uploaded anywhere.
